Anima Pietra Luxury Suite

The room was fantastic. Perfect for a relaxing getaway in Matera!

The level of Modernization .

In a group setting , Transparent glass walls for a bathroom were and inconvenience .

This luxury suite was sooo nice to stay in! the suite was super clean, the electronic system with the music was super cool and vibey. The accomodation is really luxurious and felt like something out of a movie! the breakfast cafe included is a short walk and has lots of delicious variety. The location of the suite is also really convenient! Francesco was amazing!!! He was available for any of our questions, gave us great tips for Matera, he went out of his way to organise our transport and make sure our trip ran smoothly, by far the best service we had with any accommodation throughout Europe and the highlight of our trip.

The jacuzzi was brilliant.

The bathroom door was glass and see through.

Very good location. The contact, Francesco, was most helpful in every way. gave detailed instructions on the use of the suite, directions and went out of his way to help coordinate a very good parking garage, restaurant recommendations etc...included breakfast which was a couple of blocks walk away was very good!

We were so looking forward to our stay here from the pictures it looked amazing. We had a 20 minute phone call with Francesco before our stay to explain the self check in. The technology controlling the acoustics and lighting was great, not something you see very often.

Upon our arrival we were greeted with a strong smell of damp which just ruined the stay for us. Although there is one small window and a larger one above the front door this does not allow for enough ventilation with the tub being filled and left(guests are asked not to empty it once they are finished). We found the sheets in the bed felt damp and could even smell it on our pyjamas we had worn after leaving the suite. The Air con/ventilation system was also very loud during the night. Such a shame as we were so looking forward to our stay but we're glad we had only booked one night.

From the moment I booked Anima Pietra the experience was fabulous. The place is in a cave, ambiance and decor is so well done with soft background music and modern facilities. Francisco could not be more helpful and always got back to us promptly on WhatsApp. His suggestions for dinner were varied and he booked us in to a traditional place Osteria Pico like we wanted, the food was perfect. Breakfast was coffee and croissants at caffe schiuma which in our package and an experience in itself with all the locals coming in for a quick coffee and pastry. I wish I had booked a longer stay at Anima Pietra as one night is not enough.
