Smithy House

Well equipped & comfortable cottage. Beautiful enclosed garden for toddler and dogs. Brilliant layout of rooms for our family group.

Wifi was spotty for a large group and buffered tv channels a lot, but that will be due to rural location. Shower flooded first day but owner sent a plumber out to sort it.

The kitchen/diner/lounge is a fantastic social space for cooking/eating/playing boardgames - especially on the fabulous large table. Bedrooms are clean and comfortable and facilities are clearly well looked after. The small village of Guthrie was lovely and we were dleighted to have a hare mooching about in the garden. The games room is a nice bonus feataure and the second lounge/;bedroom was excellent to allow the kids some space away form the 'boring' adults.

Whilst the games room was an excellent bonus, the cost of them over and above the hire was a little disappointing.

Lovely house, plenty of space for a family of 8. The kitchen dining area was great. Everything we needed was available. The games room was good for the whole family to use. The garden area was a lovely space, especially if you take a dog with you.

House was ideal for us as we wanted a relaxing weekend - if you are looking for places to visit, you will need to drive as there is not much in the area.

Nice spacious clean house and a quiet location.

We waited outside for more than two hours trying to get in to the property when the host would not answer his phone to give us the code to get the keys to get in the house. We put over £10 in to the snooker table only for it to be jammed with balls that came from a children's ball pit.

Very clean, really nice large cottage. We thought it was lovely. Very quiet area would definitely recommend this property and the owners. I got lost oops and even though it was after midnight they still responded to my messages and helped me out. Especially since my visit was quite quick from booking due to family emergency and us living over 5 hours away. Booked at 5pm and got there after midnight. Thank you so so much

it was perfect house for our family gathering, very clean, spacious and bright. It is quite remote location but that suited us for our short visit over a weekend.. Would highly recommend.

The games room was great for the kids, but it would have been helpful to know in advance to bring £1 and 50p coins to play pool etc.

Beautifully renovated cottage with everything you need for a lovely few days. Very comfortable and cosy, the games room a great addition! Very communicative and easy to reach host. i would highly recommend a visit!

Some issues with the shower water not draining, but sure how much of that is down to local drains. otherwise it was perfect : )
