Immaculate Location

Lack of shower

- Good heating system. - Comfortable beds. - Nice decor and well presented spaces. - Peaceful location. - Plenty dishwasher tablets and washing machine pods supplied.

- The blind in the back bedroom would only stay down if weighted down by books. - Back bedroom devoid of hangers. - No bedside lamps in either bedroom. - Limited range of cook-ware, comprising of two huge pans (same size) and two frying pans. Some utensils were encrusted with food. - No cleaning spray or wipes to clean down the kitchen surfaces. - Scant supply of toilet paper. - Parking: No parking outside the cottage but enough space further up the street in front of the terraced houses. Do not be fooled into thinking it’s OK to park in the turning circle - it is there to enable cars to turn around after they have made their way along the narrow dead end street. - Welcome basket: UHT milk sachets, lots of coffee sachets, biscuits but only 4 tea bags. - Shower: pretty but not practical.

20-25 minute walk into Hexham on a fairly steep hill. Fairly nice decor and nice views from kitchen / garden.

Unresolved issues of stranger in property most of first day. Lack of contact or apologies back from owners. Inadequate toilet roll, no tissues etc. Dirty cutlery, kitchen utensils and mugs. Dusty cobwebs in each room. Very uncomfortable seats in living room. First aid kit mostly empty - just wipes that expired June 2022. Garden needs some upkeep.

Location and view were superb

The lower deck outside was a bit out of place (scruffy) when compared to the otherwise high standard. The front bedroom was well presented, but the back bedroom lacked one bedside table and neither side had a bedside light. Also the quilt was too small for the bed. The kitchen was a bit lacking in crockery.

Excellent quality of beds & bedding!

Photo of property misleading, as prominent house shown is the one next door. Very limited TV channels (& no dvd option) No local information guides/books/games etc as usually found in holiday properties.

Lovely view from the property beautiful country setting yet only 5 min drive from the centre of hexham

The area, we were visiting family in Corbridge

The Sofas need replacing, the springs have gone so had to put cushions under the seats . The tap in the kitchen needs tightening back up. It moved every time you turned it on or off. The sink plug needs something so you can pull it out of the plug hole. The tv needs better ariel or new as it kept loosing picture

Lovely location with amenities a short car drive away. Keys were easy to pick up and the hosts were available to call when we needed help with parking. The rooms were clean and the house was very cozy - a perfect way to spend new year!

Parking was limited but was easily solved after a call with the hosts who were very helpful.
