Roseus La Casa Vacanze nei Sassi

L'appartamento è ampio e luminoso e facile da raggiungere. La vista sui Sassi e sulla cattedrale è spettacolare.

tuvimos desencuentros con nuestros anfitriones. Costó coordinar el horario, tuvimos dificultad para hallar el lugar de encuentro (google maps nos enviaba a un lugar diferente al de nuestro anfitrion) y finalmente nuestro anfitrion no fue capaz de ayudarnos en lo mas minimo a transportar el equipaje desde donde aparcamos hasta la casa. No fueron empáticos para nada Es cierto que nosotros no hablamos italiano (ellos no hablan ni ingles ni español) y eso seguramente no ayudó... Puedo afirmar que en la lista de anfitriones de todo el viaje, están en el último lugar

We loved everything about Roseus La Casa. It was a comfortable space, the location was great (at the top of the old town so minimal stairs to get to the accommodation with your luggage), Antonello a wonderful host AND then there is the amazing view!

Due to the Zona a Traffico Limitato (ZTL), there is some work involved with meeting up with Antonello, dropping luggage then finding parking BUT, and I stress the BUT, it was worth it when you walk through the door of the holiday home!!

If you visit Matera and the Sassi district, you won’t find a better place to stay than Roseus La Casa. The location is perfect - the view from the apartment bedroom is as shown (you will have a fabulous time overlooking the Sassi district in your pajamas (!), watching the sun rise, seeing the twinkling lights at night, and listening as someone sing what we presumed were local songs at twilight as they strolled the area). The apartment is located about 5-10 minutes from one of the entrances to the “upper” Sassi area, so you may not have far to carry luggage depending upon where you park. There are no steps to get into the apartment except a step or two down from the entrance, and you can walk to one of the main squares (featuring numerous restaurants, shops, etc.) stair-free as well, making the apartment great for those with mobility issues. You will have everything you need - a small but adequate bathroom (the shower is a bit tight for large people), a kitchen area, a nice sitting room, and a large bedroom. Antonello, one of our hosts, gave us great restaurant suggestions. We went to an “outside” cafe for breakfast every morning which was a 15 minute walk away. We very much enjoyed our stay at the apartment (and in Matera), and highly recommend Roseus La Casa to others!

We had a difficult time meeting up with Antonello, who was to lead us to the apartment. It wasn’t his fault - we went to the wrong meet up location - but my advice is to contact Antonello (not Andreas) far in advance and make sure you know where you are going. You will likely hear from Andreas initially, but I found it confusing to deal with him when your contact point will be Antonello. Nothing else - we loved our stay!

The property was very well located with magnificent view. The small kitchen had all we needed for breakfast: coffee, bread, milk etc

The door arches are quite low and this maybe an issue for tall folks. The apartment was quiet except for Friday night. There was loud music until late from the Sassi down below. The apartment is about 150-200 meters from the street. Recommend a carry on or very small and light suitcase.

We especially loved the location and the view. They were perfect! The kitchen and bathroom were lovely and well-stocked. It couldn't have been better.
