Oak Tree Cottage, Charming, Rural New Forest Home

Lovely quiet and scenic situation. Sun trap in the garden and perfect entertaining spaces. Really well stocked kitchen and comfy beds. Fantastic girlie weekend retreat.

The only thing I didn’t like was it wasn’t my actual home as it was almost perfect and the stay was far too short.

We liked the way a timeless charm had been designed into every detail... while providing all of the modern conveniences we expected. The bathrooms and shower were excellent. so was the huge kitchen/dining room. The lounge was a perfect size. And the conservatory added more room and comfort. The Kitchen was superbly resourced. The beds were comfortable. Lots of extra blankets, towels etc. We loved being in a tiny hamlet, surrounded by fields and ponies. Restaurants, excellent pubs, places to visit, shopping... all within a 10 to 15 minute drive.

We would have liked a stronger wifi signal, since we wanted to stay in touch with family via WhatsApp. And searching on the internet was a little slow at times. We had to learn to be a little patient.

Lovely welcome basket, spotless kitchen (and rest of house), very well-maintained property throughout with quality appliances and furnishings.

This property is exceptional! The attention to detail in the property was brilliant, the beds really comfortable and all facilities excellent. We cannot fault this property. The communication from the owners was very good, from checking we had arrived safely to wishing us a safe journey home just before we left. We hope to go back very soon.

Location was fantastic. Really quiet and lots of ponies wandering around. Property was great, spotlessly clean and had everything you could need. Hosts Jenny and Ian were brilliant, plenty of communication and a lovely welcome gift, really nice thought.

There was nothing that we didn’t like. A short stay, but couldn’t fault the property, location or the hosts.

The cottage was a home from home and had everything we needed. Milk in the fridge upon our arrival was really handy. I had forgotten tea bags but they were supplied too. The hosts were very helpful. The beds were super comfy. Would recommend a stay here.

There was only one thing the wifi wasn't very speedy. However it didn't really matter as we were having a weekend away and it didn't affect us hugely.

The location was amazing, seeing the donkeys in the morning was simply the best. The home was so lovely and had everything we needed. The hosts Jenny and Ian gave us all the information of local facilities, prior to our visit. They were very informative and we had a lovely meal at the Mill and a fantastic hack out with Coombe riding stables.
