Townhouse 4 Barrow Lane

Communciation with owner/manager was excellent and prompt. House was in good condition and had everything you would need for a few days stay. it is beside the river so you can get out for a walk if you want along the barrow. There is an aldi approx. 5 min walk away and a supervalu 1 min walk away for any food etc.

Not a criticism or complaint at all but we partially booked it as we wanted to sit in around the fireplace with a lit fire when we arrived or after we got back from a walk. When we got there, there was a sign up saying fireplace for aesthetic purposes only so we couldnt use it. There was central heating and it was fine.

Was a really nice place with a nice river view. I was mostly resting off my jetlag, so I didn't have as much time there as my mom did, who arrived a couple days before.

Great size of house, spacious kitchen diner and bedrooms. Bonus was each bedroom had ensuite showers. Very clean overall, crisp white bed linen. Towels and were also provided. The view was beautiful from the main room, looking out over the river. Owner kept in contact before arrival, which was a great personalised touch.

Parking was a little tight, we had hired medium estate car, any bigger may have been a struggle if parking was busy.

In a great location in the town. Plenty of space, the owner is near by we needed a bulb for the bathroom.

Plenty of car parking spaces which we couldn’t get until the second day.

Location was good. Close to canal for going for a walk and supermarket nearby
