The extremely kind,attentive,and honest 3 generational host family are a pleasure to be around. Toni was the point of contact on arrival,making sure he was available to welcome me at the pre-arranged time.(But not quite the pre-arranged place,as I was ringing the neighbour's doorbell!!!)Having made a long journey to get there,and this being my first visit to Venice,I really appreciated that faithfulness. Toni speaks fluent English,amongst other languages,which was a great help to me,who knows very little Italian (Although by the end of my stay,encouraged and taught by the Nonna of the family,I was able to go out for dinner and speak only Italian....Bravo!!!) The property is entirely comfortable,beautifully maintained,and secure at all times.....The family obviously lavish as much love on it as if it were their own home. The private garden for guests is a bonus. Super location;a quite residential area of Venice,yet a short bus or tram ride away from the traditional tourist attractions. Carpenedo has everything you could need,to the point that you could spend your entire holiday there and not feel short changed.A great way to experience authentic,everyday life. The award winning Pasticceria Potteno is just around the corner,well worth a visit.....Or ten! Bullet points on the property which are already covered in the ratings,but to make clear: *Bed very comfortable; *Shower works perfectly; *Kitchen/ cooking facilities lacking nothing; *Location of property perfect. *Easy journey to/from Marco Polo Airport. Casa di Joy is certainly well named!!
