It was as seen in photos. Sitting room painted before arrival. It was lighter than expected. We were able to extend the dining table so could all sit down to a meal.

The heating ( which was kindly on before we arrived) so a warm house. The explanation that each radiator had its own thermostatic valve did not explain how the 2 ground floor bedrooms were controlled. Beyond individual control. The front double was stiflingly hot & had to open the window whenever in it. The single bedroom the heating failed after arrival and never came on again. These I think are old, continuing problems. I wore a fleece + pyjamas in bed. Take a torch for single bedroom, the main light switch is by the door - bed at other end of room. Other people said their beds were soft & sagged in middle.

Kitchen facilities and bedrooms were good. The bus service along the Abingdon Road into Oxford City Centre was excellent. Never waited more than 5 minutes.

The front door lock takes a time to master. The internal lock was not easy to sort out so in the event of a fire could be a fire hazard. The fixtures and fittings in the bedrooms were looking a bit dated. Could do with a refurb so far as decorations and pictures on the walls. The ensuite bathrooms were very welcome but generally very small. Try shaving in the minute handbasin!!

It has a beautiful well stocked kitchen/diner (with 3 fridges!) and the huge breakfast bar is a lovely place to sit and catch up with friends. It was great to have en suites with every bedroom. The property was well located - an easy walk along river or road into central Oxford or buses if you're tired.

Maybe a blanket or two to snuggle on the sofa with, although it was a warm house so not really needed, but generally a lovely place to stay.

excellent location, easy bus/ £10ish uber into city, quiet neighbourhood, lots of space and everyone had an ensuite bathroom, albeit they are very small. Nice garden, parking for one large/med car on drive. Hosts said you get 2 small ones on there.

the mattress in the main bedroom upstairs with the king size bed wasn't very comfortable, felt like an older pocket sprung one. The pillows were all very thin. One of the fans in a bathroom upstairs seemed to be permanently on so could be heard in the downstairs double all night.

En-suite bedrooms. Location.

Front door lock…very tricky. Lack of sharp knives, bowls etc. Nasty drain smells in bathroom. Single room was awful as was large bedroom on 1st floor. Very unpleasant.

Every room had an ensuite, which was great !
