The Shed

We were on our way to Masai Mara and could unfortunately only stay one night in the Shed. Very beautiful and functional apartment with kitchen, also very close to the excellent restaurant of the Ziwa Lodge including an indoor fire pit with a very cozy lounge. Angeline was very welcoming and kind, I highly recommend it

Eine wunderbare Unterkunft an einem wunderbaren Ort!!! Man hat das Haus ganz für sich allein. Das Schlafzimmer mit Bett vor Panorama-Fenster ist einfach nur traumhaft. Dort könnte man stundenlang liegen und den Vögeln vor dem Fenster zuhören. Das Bett ist super bequem! Die Anfahrt ist etwas abenteuerlich, aber wenn man Ziwa Bush Lodge eingibt, findet man es. Der Ort ist abgelegen und ohne Fahrer kommt man da nicht hin oder weg. Es gibt nichts in der Nähe! Den Pool und das Restaurant der Lodge kann man mitbenutzen. Da wir selber gekocht haben (es waren Öl, Salz, Kaffe und Zucker da, wir haben eine Packung Nudeln und Mehl hinterlassen), können wir zur Qualität des Essens nichts sagen. Die Dusche war angenehm heiß.

Ons viel het enorm tegen maar dat heeft niet gelegen aan het personeel. Ze waren erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam en makkelijk contact mee te krijgen.

Het huis is van binnen zwart geverfd wat een niet aangename sfeer geeft. We hadden de pech dat er water uit het plafond kwam. In het nabijgelegen lodge konden we eigenlijk niet meer mee eten maar uiteindelijk konden we toch gebruik maken van het buffet aan de personeelstafel. Zwembad van de lodge was echt zeer oud en kapot her en der. In de buurt verder echt niets te doen en je zit wel een eind van de bewoonde wereld af voor ons gevoel. Wij zijn helaas eerder vertrokken.

Spacious, complete and very modern.

We loved the location, get away from the town, our kids loved the pool as they had it all to themselves as the other guests were not swimming at the time we used the pool.

Having curtains on the kitchen window would be great.

I had an amazing experience! The ambience was awesome. The staff were very friendly.

Winnie is amazing, she was there when we arrived and welcomed us and we felt right at home. She took us through the house and then explained further about Ziwa lodge and what was available. Through out our stay she was very helpful and prompt with our requests and sorting out our issues, Winnie is truly an asset to your property. The view from the master bedroom was really breathtaking especially in the morning when the sun is rising.

When we were at the pool we requested for pool towels and the lady told us that since we are not staying at Ziwa lodge we would need to request our towels from where we booked. I found that quite absurd because if we are using the pool then why not the towels and plus how do we use our bathing towels at the pool. I would recommend that you come to some type of agreement with the lodge on this or if not then provide separate towels for the us at the pool. However Winnie did manage to sort us and very appreciative of that. I would suggest if you could add some side lamps in the bedroom and living room as the top lights are a little bit too bright. WiFi was also a big issue especially for the children,
