Duck Cottage

Comfortable cottage in the heart of Thirsk. Ideal for exploring Yorkshire on both sides of A1M

Everything, lovely little cottage in a great location.

Stairs we a bit steep for us but we managed.

Easy to find, clear instructions. Within easy walking to main centre, shops, restaurants etc. Cosy home, well equipped kitchen. Property bigger than anticipated. Gorgeous, relaxing lounge, tastefully decorated. Lovely welcome pack of bread, milk etc. Bed linen and towels nice and fresh. New bathroom, nice hot shower. Nice view out onto Cod Beck (stream) with the resident ducks very friendly

Parking permit for parking on the street outside. Not always a space to park, especially if you went out during the day and then returned a few hours later. I think local businesses also have permits to park there too during the day, which may be the reason for this. Can get noisy in the evenings when pubs/restaurants close due to the proxiity of public car park

The staircase and landing !!! An accident waiting to happen I'm afraid to say.

Location excellent and very warm

Bread, milk and biscuits left for our arrival. Plenty of clean towels. Very warm and cosy.

Could do with a shaving mirror in the bathroom!
