A lovely, warm and inviting cottage, in the perfect perfect location to nip into Whitby or from which to start an Eskdale walk. Extremely well appointed: super kitchen, sitting room, very comfortable beds (with great linen), gorgeous bath tubs and powerful showers with piping hot water. Very well designed and decorated – nothing to offend the eye. Charming hosts and perfect for our two small dogs. Really one of the most comfortable places we've stayed in.

Everything was perfect about Drake Cottage. The owners were not around when we arrived to meet them in person however they had messaged us earlier on the day of our arrival to advise us of this and gave us instructions on how to enter the property. Previous communication with them had been first class with full details of where the property was & how to get there. The actual property is immaculate with an excellent level of finish. We didn't spend a massive amount of time in the cottage as we were out most of the time but it felt very homely and relaxing when we were there and the bed was comfortable so we got a good night sleep. There is parking at the rear of the property for 5 cars. There is a small stone archway you have to drive through to get to the rear of the property but there were a couple of Range Rovers parked up when we visited so most vehicles should fit through. Whitby is about a 10 minute drive away which was perfect for us. We would definitely stay again if available.
