Host & Stay - Lightkeeper's Cottage

location was great

it was called a cottage but it was a new build the parking space was virtually inaccessible unless you drove a smart car the steps to the property were steep I don’t like upside down houses general access to the car park was terrible the bin storage was floor to ceiling nags and doesn’t appear to have been emptied in some time

Location was good. Two bathrooms - both clean (powerful showers). Free parking space. Good selection of utilities & facilities.

Cleanliness - the house needs a deep clean. The oven hob was dirty & greasy. There were bits from previous tenants found under the sofa & clothes hanger. Rubbish situation - of the 2 allocated rubbish collection rooms - 1 was locked & the other was overflowing. The refuse collectors did not clear on 2 occasions during our stay, despite arriving to do so, thereby leaving a health hazard & stench of a smell during temperatures of 30+ degrees. Location of parking space - on a steep hill, sandwiched between 2 walls and another parking space. Emergency access was prohibited (as seen when an ambulance could not gain access during our stay).

I enjoyed the location, comfort and cleanliness of cottage

There was nothing really I didn’t like. Only thing was trouble with post code and it didn’t get us to the location but we found it by chance in the end after having to ring hosts.

Near the center but also quite at night, you could only here the seagulls. The cottage was tidy, nicely decorated and furnished.
