"overall a pleasant stay but you need to be fit to climb hill and stairs in the property and you would struggle if you we"

6.0

Central location. Handy to all local amenities. Lovely snug room. Very warm to return to when the weather outside is cold.

It was very cramped. If 2 of you were in a room at one time there was little passing space and we are not big people! There seemed to be too much furniture in bedrooms, sofas that didn’t really have any purpose but took up a lot of the room. We were given the wrong code to gain entry to the property and wrong WiFi passcode. The owners responded very promptly and sorted all this out for us. We had difficulty finding any trays clean enough to heat food on but was not an issue as we ate out after seeing the state of the one’s provided.

Beds were extremely comfortable. Shower excellent pressure. The cottage felt really welcoming.

It was a little difficult with the key box as we are both small.

"Welcoming hosts, quiet, relaxing, cosy and comfortable cottage."

10.0

Location was perfect for local shops, cafe, restaurants. The property iteself was warm and inviting cleam and tidy and suited our big family. We had enough space and it helped having 2 bathrooms. The kitchen had all little details such as tea and cofee, foil, cooking oil, condiments etc which were a nice touch and so helpful when preparing meals. As and added touch there were cookies for us on arrival to have with our tea.

I coudn't find anything wrong with the property. There is nothing I would improve as all our needs were met and the hosts couldn't be more accomodating. Theres nothing I would have changed whilst we were there.

"The best dog-friendly quirky cottage in the heart of Northumberland!"

10.0

The location was perfect for our needs as it was central to everything we wanted to see. The cottage is most definitely quirky - but that just added to our Northumberland experience. The whole place was clean, well-kept and had everything you might possibly need and made our stay exceedingly enjoyable. The fact it was also dog-friendly (we have 2 border collies) was also a big plus. The hosts could not be more helpful! We'd recommend the cottage for anyone looking for a dog-friendly place to explore Northumberland.

We didn't find anything we didn't like about the cottage. There were no downsides to our visit.

"Lovely cottage in an excellent location"

10.0

Excellent location for exploring coastal and nearby Northumbria; Lindisfarne, Bamburgh, Alnwick, Cragside, the national park all relatively short drives away. Beautiful cottage in a lovely town with lots of amenities. Highly recommend

Location is fantastic! Great ideas to make place suitable for dogs.

Kitchen could have been left a little cleaner. A few more utensils would be useful, tongs etc. bathrooms could do with a revamp.
