Falstaff House, listed building, a delightful late-Georgian holiday cottage in a great location in central Alnwick

Excellent accommodation. Very nicely decorated with much attention to detail. Extremely well equipped kitchen and added extras such as maps and holders, shopping bags and umbrella. Good WiFi throughout. Soft, but comfortable beds. Includes lovely personal touches and treats on arrival. Check in very easy. On street parking either outside or generally close to the property. On a bit of a hill but easy walking distance into town.

There is absolutely nothing to dislike about the house but it is very close to a church where the bells chime every 15 mins from 6am to 11pm every day which is worth knowing. It is not so much of a problem during the day but can be a nuisance if sleeping in the twin room. Hence 8/10 for comfort.

A beautiful, very well equipped house, centrally located, so it was an easy walk to Alnwick castle and gardens, and the town centre was 2 minutes away The welcome pack was a lovely bonus, and the thoughtful touches like milk in the fridge, so we could have a drink after a long drive.

Beautiful house, very clean, comfortable and extremely well equipped. Quiet location within a short walking distance to restaurants, pubs and also the local bus service to get to the various starting points of the Northumberland Coastal Path walk. We were fortunate to meet our lovely host Louise who provided lots of information before we went and had even more available in the house. The welcome treats were such a lovely touch and very enjoyable. Thank’s to Louise and her team for a wonderful stay.

Absolutely nothing!

This house was so thoughtfully equipped with every possible item required for a short (or long)stay plus lots of maps and info about Northumberland and generous supplies of welcome basics such as tea and coffee etc, wonderful cake and bottle of fizz. All very much appreciated and of course went down very well. Stylish up to date decor and everything was very clean. Bathrooms immaculate. Loved the sparky lights in the back yard!!!

Very difficult to find fault - mattresses a little soft if anything!

Code was sent a week before so it was quick and easy to get them out of the lock box. There were another set of keys inside the property which was very useful too.

Although the house was very clean the hose on the shower obviously hadn't been cleaned for a while. It had thick black soap scum in the ridges of the hose that came off when having a shower. It wasn't the nicest experience.

Very well-appointed cottage with lots of lovely little extras.

Really lovely property, well equipped and situated on a very central but very quiet street - perfect. We shall return!!

Lovely cozy cottage, clean, well equipped, lovely welcome pack, great position. Most comfortable bed ever slept in.
