The scenery here is gorgeous and the view from the property’s lounge and one of the two bedrooms is fantastic. The furniture is functional and reasonably comfortable throughout. The kitchen is well equipped and we especially appreciate that the property has both a washing machine and a tumble dryer. We also like that the place takes recycling seriously. The artwork on the walls is nice and appears to support local artists. The property feels quite spacious inside which we appreciated. We liked the view from the front bedroom so much that we opted to sleep in the bottom bunk of the bunk bed rather than the normal double bed in the back bedroom. It wasn’t the most comfortable bed we’ve slept in but it wasn’t bad and well worth it for that view each morning. When we took our dog out for an evening wee there were deer in the road in front of the place. Loved that! The area is remote with the nearest Tesco a 40 min drive away but we love how remote the place feels. Wild and beautiful.

The driveway is a steep gravel drive. Luckily we had a choc with us to put behind our tyres but would personally be a bit nervous to park there without one. (Our wheels didn’t heavily rely on the chocs during our stay but it’s a peace of mind thing when it’s that steep!) The kitchen / dinning area and back bedroom are quite overlooked from the properties on the hill behind this one. Didn’t use back bedroom so that didn’t matter but net curtains or privacy window stickers or something would have been nice by the dining table in the kitchen. We opted to keep the curtains closed there but it did mean the room wasn’t very bright when we used it.

The enclosed garden was great for our dogs. However, be alert for deer that come in the garden, scared the bajeezas out of us and the dog 😂. House was carpeted (except kitchen) so great for our senior dog. Electric car charger was great too, and the main reason we picked this property was the EV charger and enclosed garden, they were worth it. The house is well equipped with everything you need. Sharp knives, an air fryer and a coffee machine! Wonderful. The washing machine was so good we’re now going to upgrade ours to the same one, tempted to do the same with the fridge. Really lovely and quiet, great view to sit with a morning cuppa. Secluded beaches just a short drive away. Bit of a drive for any shops but we got a click and collect from Tesco which we picked up from Dondonell hotel, which was fun! Did see a Morrisons van drive by the house too.

Nothing wrong with the property at all! Just annoyed we didn’t end up seeing the northern lights, they were there it was too cloudy! We’ll keep trying! And if I’m being petty, the holiday home in front of ours, for some reason - despite ample parking on the drive away - parked their van on the road and got in our photos lol. But it went after 4 days 😂 You know there’s nothing to complain about when this is all you can come up with lol.

Beautiful view from property. Good value for the money. Everything necessary in the property.

Far from most of the attractions which means a lot of travel.

The property was very well equipped and you could tell that Jane put a lot of effort in to make it feel like a home. The views from the living room over the loch and the mountains are incredible - a big bonus when the weather isn’t great and you want to be cozy.

There wasn’t anything not to like.
