Craster Crew House

What a lovely house in a great location. The property was clean and well decorated. The kitchen was very well equipped. There was a sunny (weather permitting) sun lounge for meals and a cosy sitting room. Bedrooms were nice and the beds were comfy. The house did not feel cluttered - ideal for a rental property. The location of Craster was the highlight of our trip to the Northumberland coast. The house was immaculately clean, comfortable and well appointed. We were just an elderly couple in a family house for 5 so we had plenty of everything in the house. Although there is no Wifi in the village, the internet connection the house was very good.

I didn’t like being told we had to remove our bedding into a large bag and remove our rubbish when we left. The idea that it is Covid guidance seems odd. We have stayed in about 20 places since Covid isolation and nowhere else have we been told we must do this.

Good location, friendly hosts, comfy bed. Well equipped kitchen and a lovely bath. Perfect for beach walks and relaxing.

I found the sofas a little uncomfortable. Everything else was great.

Very well equipped house in a fab location. Great hosts, very quick to respond to questions. Warm, especially downstairs, would love to return in nicer weather!

The weather!

Location, cleanliness, clear written instructions about machinery etc it was beautiful and comfortable. Lovely owners and a friendly atmosphere in village.

Bathroom could have been warmer doesn’t have heated towel rails or heating that we could see but we used the en-suite instead. Front step could be wider.

Good sized house. Kitchen large and with plenty of useful appliances. Very clean and comfortable. Perfect spot. Lovely sea views. Close to village centre.

Everything was great.

Good location in the village very quiet,no tourists walking past as you are at the end of the village , idea starting point to walk north or south on the coast path , or even inland ! We were even sat out front and saw dolphins!, I loved making a fuss of the dog that lives next door 😁, especially after the recent loss of both my dogs and the owners were nice people too. Free good WiFi in the house and only a 2 minute walk to the Jolly Fisherman! Good food ! Or a 15 minute walk to the Cottage Inn and the Stable both for good food too ! Gifts available at the Stable . The house is a very warm house so the fan was a nice touch. For a real foody treat go to the Fishing Boat Inn at Boulmer this is a gastro pub fantastic food but it is expensive but worth it.
