The Old Mill and Cottage

It's a large place with plenty of space, both upstairs in the comfortable lounge and in the dining area. Also plenty of crockery, cutlery etc. along with DVDs children's toys etc. Terrence was very helpful throughout our stay and did a great job clearing away enough snow so we could get in when we arrived!

The spiral staircase was difficult for the toddlers (though they enjoyed the challenge!) and especially grandma who has mobility issues. Even the fitter members found moving large or heavy objects down to and up from the lower floor a little tricky, and the famliy bedroom. bunk bedroom and kitchen-diner are all down there. Kitchen space was a little restricted, we like to cook as a family but really two or three people made it crowded. That said though the upsides more than outdid the down. The cottage was a little cold the first night, but there was almost a foot of snow outside!
