Villa Catanho

The owner was very kind and responsive. The garden and the sea view are beautiful, the area are quite.

It was a bit chilly in the villa (we stayed in February) and we used the heaters. Also the boiler did not work properly (hot warter disappeared at some point), but the owner came the next day to fix it. It's not easy for taxi drivers to find the address of the villa.

Super Lage mit tollem Ausblick, schönem Garten, ca. 800m fußläufig zur Altstadt oder 3 Gehminuten zur Bushaltestelle. Bäckerei, Bar und kleiner Lebensmittelmarkt gleich in der Nähe. Tolles Grundstück inmitten Bananenplantage und anderem Obst/Gemüse, sehr ruhig auf großem Privatgrund mitten in der Stadt, nebenan toller Orchideengarten, Parkplatz am Haus. Sehr netter Vermieter und Familie, immer hilfsbereit und aufmerksam, im Haus hat es uns wirklich an nichts gefehlt, alles was man braucht, ist auch gut bestückt vorhanden. Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub und können es wirklich sehr gern weiterempfehlen! Perfekt für Familien/Freunde!

We stayed at Villa Catanho for 10 days in April. Our family included two kids (aged 3 and 6), my husband, my mom, and me. We really liked it there, and it’s hard to imagine a better place for such a reasonable price. Everyone had their own room and a comfortable place to sleep, and the hosts even prepared a crib for our youngest, which we really appreciated. The kitchen had everything we needed—maybe except a dishwasher—but with three adults it wasn’t a problem 🙂. There was also a washing machine, which was very handy for our family. The best part was the outdoor area. The kids loved exploring, although at first I was a bit worried about the younger one, as there are some stairs and uneven, stony paths that require a bit of care. However, once they got familiar with the place, both children managed really well. We especially loved the barbecue area and the small green space where we sometimes had dinner. A wonderful bonus was the fresh bananas, papayas, and other fruits and vegetables growing on the property. The neighborhood is very calm and peaceful. There’s a bakery and a small shop nearby, and it’s about a 20–30 minute walk to the city center. The hosts were very supportive and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. I truly recommend this place, especially for families with kids over 3 years old.

Der sehr zuvorkommende Gastgeber hat schon im Vorfeld gut mit uns kommuniziert, mit uns eine kleine Stadtrundfahrt zum kennenlernen des Viertels gemacht und war allgemein sehr nett. Das Haus ist wundervoll gelegen und besonders die Gartenterasse liebevoll gestaltet.

Alles ist sehr gut eingerichtet. Im Haus könnten einige Küchengeräte ergänzt werden. Es fehlt eine größere Pfanne, Messer, die für Aufstrich auf Brot geeignet sind und vielleicht ein guter Korkenzieher.

Es war ein sehr freundlicher aufmerksamer Empfang. Uns wurde neben der Unterkunft und dem Garten auch die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Umgebung gezeigt.

Lovely quiet spot 15 min walk from centre. Enjoyed having a balcony for breakfast and the garden area with BBQ was lovely in the evening.

De locatie. Het huis in de stad met heel fijn terras, met mooi uitzicht. Omdat het in een bananenplantage ligt ook heel privé. Groot voordeel was dat er bakker/koffie tentje om de hoek zit! Het huis was van alles voorzien. Het balkon was erg fijn.
