St Matthews cottages

The quiet location. The comfy , homely feel. Was a nice quiet retreat .

The shared yard( no grass) as we were aware next door had a dog and as we have a nervous rescue dog we felt we couldn't let her out.

Lovely accommodation which was spacious enough for our family of 5 and very clean. Great value for a few days away. People on the village were friendly. Owners were really friendly and helpful. A lovely visit overall.

It would be great to have a welcome booklet for things like the TV etc just to make sure we were doing things right. But that is a real minor point.

The views are beautiful and the cottage was super comfortable. The fire and washing machine were fantastic extras you don’t normally get. The owners were helpful and lovely to talk too. They were very understanding about my disabled boys staying and allowed me more time to get them sorted. Thank you and see you in the summer.

The WiFi is spotty and you have to breathe in going upstairs as is quite narrow but won’t stop us returning in the summer

Great cottage with everything you could ever need. Peaceful and warm. Will stay again if I'm ever working in Abbeytown in the future

The space! Wow so much room, nice little touches like logs and fire lighters. Plenty of kitchen bits and pieces. Towels were also plenty and good quality. Quiet location. For what you get it’s excellent value for money.

The WiFi was painful slow and doesn’t work in the down stairs toilet, please upgrade this. As I know phone signals are zero. The mattress in the main room is tied, the under second pairs of the pillowcases had white dog hairs on them. But all in all, this place is excellent for money so would recommend. Would stay again.
