St Matthews cottages

Located in a gorgeous little quiet village, close to nearby towns. Clean and cosy with everything we needed.

Lovely, historic, cosy cottage in a great location for our stay. Suitably equipped for a self-catering weekend.

Bed was too soft for our liking

The beds were comfortable. There was enough parking for two cars.

The signal in the area is awful, but that's just the area, not a reflection of the property or owner. The communication was poor. The number rang out several times and never had a call back. There wasn't a key.

Ideal quiet and remote setting. A car is essential to stay here. The cottage was very clean and well kept. Ideal for a base in the north lake district. Id put this on the list for staying in the area again!

Please buy one of them wifi signal boosters for about £20 to get a good wifi signal around the cottage. Couldnt get the sky or now tv stick to work. Other than this nothing else to complain! Its a lovely place to stay for all ages!

The location of the property is great. Good for visiting the coast and several towns and villages.

We found the property a bit dated and a bit tatty in places. The stairs are very steep with narrows steps. Bathroom is on the ground floor, not good for visiting the loo in the night!

Very pretty cottage in a quiet location. lovely views of the church and school. It had everything we needed and was a very pleasant stay.

Very pretty little cottage! In a small village and quiet around but a great option for running into the Lake District!

A whole cottage for three so excellent value. Comfortable beds. Setting was beautiful with lovely walks and even a friendly lamb in field opposite. Birdsong in the morning was amazing
