What a location! How many times do you get to stay in a cave house with a fantastic view of the Al Hambra across the valley? Host was quite helpful and patient as I had difficulties with cellphone reception and had missed some of the instructions on how to access the property. The host also provided information for food delivery as we arrived at the property late in the evening. Plenty of room for the family and the location felt homey. Home was clean and comfortable. Neighbourhood was tucked away from the centre but a short walk away from main areas. Made use of the kitchen and host had coffee, tea and bread available.

Getting to the location was a bit challenging as we took a taxi from the bus terminal and the cab was not able to drop us off near the house. We had to walk around a bit to find the house. This though was a minor inconvenience but travellers should be aware.

If you want a quirky place to stay with lots of charm and a wonderful view across to the Alhambra, then pick this one. You have the bonus of staying in a traditional cave house. Yes, the bedrooms are in the rockface! Be prepared to walk up some steps, but once you get your bearings it is really, really easy to get around. You can walk to local restaurants and flamenco shows. The house is next to a "mirador" with an exceptional view. Park up in the centre of Sacremento, offload the luggage, then find a parking space to dump the car for the duration of your stay. Take the easy walk down hill into Granada, or use the excellent buses which take a few minutes to reach the city centre. We walked to and from the Alhambra directly in about 20 minutes - or take a bus or taxi. Stay here for something a bit different - Granada is small and easily walkable. Take the free (with donation) walking tour from Civitatas on your first day (11am) to get an overview. Book the Alhambra in advance, of course.

Do your shopping upfront - we didn't find a local supermarket or bakery.
