Summerside Cottage

Perfect location midway between my family members plus the village facilitates and golf courses!

There was a musty smell which we couldn’t get rid of and although it didn’t stop us enjoying our stay it was constantly there!

Well equipped. Very warm and cosy. Comfortable beds and all the mod cons you would expect

Tricky to reach the off street parking bay. We arrived in the dark and had to reverse up a narrow driveway to then reach the parking outside accommodation. Apart from arriving and leaving we parked in-nearby street as easier

The cottage is in a great location in the centre of Gullane, near to pubs, restaurants & golf. Nice layout and comfortable enough with a well equipped kitchen & courtyard garden.

It’s dog friendly and did smell a bit of dog when we got there so we had to go round with some spray & light a candle. If you have a car bigger than a fiat 500 do not attempt the lane & parking! Could be doing with some cushions on the couches & garden furniture.

Location was perfect

The cottage was on one level and well appointed. the instructions on how to get there and access were good as were the details in the cottage. The cottage was very clean.

The host had already informed us that the lane to the cottage was narrow, as we had bags to drop off we did have to navigate it to get to the cottage, there is a piece of walling on the left hand side as you turn into the cottage driveway that is potruding and right at the bottom so you dont see it and we caught it our rear tyre on it. It needs removing. The recycling boxes were also difficult to navigate. Although the area due to its golf culture is likely to be expensive we did feel the cottage was expensive for a weekend but also appreciate that it is intended for 4 people not 2.

The beds weren't that comfortable. Use to a firmer mattress. Parking a large car on the drive had its difficulties

If I’m being picky, the bathroom could do with a little attention and your cleaner needs to look up. large dusty cobweb above fuse board in double bedroom and dust on the top of kitchen lights - but that is being picky

Location is excellent. Minutes from the shops, the beach, cafes, hotels, the John Muir Way. But, very quiet. Well equipped house.

Instructions would have helped on how to work the heating and the cooker. Blankets would be helpful. It was a cold week weather wise.

Good location within Gullane. Parking space, good heating, powerful shower.

Can't grumble, reasonably priced for a last minute break.
