Das Haus liegt sehr idyllisch und bezaubert mit seinem „Hüttencharme“. Die Ausstattung war sehr gut und das Haus war sauber. Jan ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich

Nice house with woodstove and good location.

Negligible minor issue - some minor wear and tear part in the house. The opposite small house lighting is distracting when taking northern photo. Will bi good able to turn off upon request.

Lovely home in a fantastic location in a forest by a beautiful lake. Very well equipped every kitchen cupboard was full of stuff. Lots of towels and bedding. Warm. Key was in the door when we arrived and next day owner Jan came over to meet us and say hello. Lovely walks to be had from the front door or a short drive to Mikkelvika for a short coastal trail and views from up a small hill. Wish we had stayed longer than just two days.

We liked everything. Note that booking dot com say strange things like “shared toilet” and even “shared kitchen” but it definitely is one separate detached house for you and not a hostel!

Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel dans cette jolie maison située idéalement à proximité d'un très beau lac. L'endroit est très calme, nous conseillons cet hébergement sans retenue. Nous avons été accueillis par les propriétaires extrêmement bienveillants.

Beautiful cabin in the middle of nowhere (but close to the lake), cosy, very well kept, with fully equipped kitchen. I indicated zero for the staff only because this parameter is not applicable: we had no contact with anybody, the key was on the door.

I could write about a poem about this place rather than a reveiw. What an experience to have stayed at Karistua for over a week! The view from every window is breathtaking, the peacefulness the moment you enter the valley. The lake holds so much character, we found ourselves staring endlessly at it. We cannot recommend this place enough. Although a drive from Tromsø, we found each journey to be different, if we were to head in that direction. The ever changing landscapes and views make the drive feel 5 minutes. The cabin, in our opinion, is the warmest place in the arctic circle. The host has made it very homely, cosy and perfect for a couple, or family - filled with all you need for a short or long stay. The town near us called Hansnes has a EuroSpar and surprisingly a good size for a small or big shop. You're surrounded by hikes, mountains, trees, nature and often in a short distance, reindeer. In a heartbeat, we would return, especially in the summer to see the island differently and experience it all over again.

The location is exceptional, the hosts are amazing, and the place is just amazing. The view to the lake and the nature is spectacular.

I loved everything about my stay.
