"Excellent all round."

Very well appointed. Everything you could want was provided eg bubble bath, cleaning products, plenty of cutlery and crockery. Exceptionally clean. Nice touch with Christmas decorations.

The only gripe is we found the second sofa slightly uncomfortable but this is a personal preference.

Very comfortable stay. Beautiful property. Very clean. The hosts were lovely and very helpful. Beds very comfortable, great kitchen, nice bathrooms. Loved the woodchip burner, heated the house brilliantly. Great time had by all human and canine guests.

There was nothing this property lacked, everything you need under 1 roof.

Nothing we didn’t like except we didn’t get use of the hot tub due to the weather but as we all know we can’t control that

We stayed at the Old Brewery Barn from 9/9/25 to 12/9/25 following our wedding on 6/9/25. We wanted somewhere tranquil and peaceful following some very hectic months. We couldn't have asked for more than what the barn offered. Spacious bedrooms, walk-in showers and a bathtub. The living/kitchen and dining area lends perfectly to cosy evenings. Everything was exceptionally clean and well presented, and to top it all off there was also a hot-tub to use - perfect for stress relief. Our hosts were fantastic, there if we needed anything, but they allowed us the space to enjoy the barn and it's amenities. I highly recommend this as a getaway location, in fact I have already recommended it to family and friends. My only wish would be to award more than five stars. Thank you for a perfect break.

"Lovely house in quiet spot with easy access to tourist spots"

Such a lovely property, really well equipped to make it feel like home from home- some lovely little touches for convenience. Hot tub was great and lovely well kept garden. The local pub that does an excellent Sunday roast! On walking & bus routes to Pooley Bridge to access Ullswater and can also easily get to the amenities of Penrith. We loved our stay and would highly recommend!
