A bigger shower would be better

Easy to find house, great parking. 2 adults here for just 2 nights. Nice welcome pack of bread, butter, jam, milk, OJ, (OJ was delicious) & usual tea and coffee 🙂 House is small, it says 'boutique' which to us means old fashioned and in need of a re vamp, which it definitely is 🤔 but seems to be being done, nice outside area but the mouldy sofa on decking needs to go. The house is comfortable & homely though and we enjoyed our short stay 😀 The only things that need to really change is the tiny shower, which is a real challenge to use & put up a shaving mirror. My husband's wet shaves and mirror isn't above the sink. Easy walk to the park where hot springs are & into the town where there are restaurants and shops. We've been travelling Australia and New Zealand for 3 months, staying in hotels, motels, and Airbnb's, booking only a few days in advance. This was great👌 thanks for having us.

Lovely and comfortable. Central to Rotorua. Beds were very cosy!

The front bedroom let in quite a lot of outside light throughout the night.

The house is very hospitable, lots of personal touches and a welcome arrival. Host was very flexible to our requests. Place is very cosy and has all fully stacked kitchen, patio. A lot of charm to it. Location is 10 minutes from the restaurants, park a block away and plenty of parking

Excellent location walk into town, explore via the bikes stored in the shed. Comfortable stay for short break

The winter setup for the beds meant there was a lot of bedding to go to the floor of the bedroom...

It's a lovely characterful place, with JUST about everything you need for a weekend away. The owner Sue is lovely, and a pleasure to deal with!

I think Sue had just had the bed topper laundered, and unfortunately it was really lumpy. When we told her she said she'd sort it out right away, so I'm sure it'll be sorted before the next guest. The only other downside is that because the place is really compact, it didn't have a bath - I only cared because I'd have loved a soak after completing the Whaka100!
