L' emplacement :très central,avec toutes les commodités très proches et les possibilités d' excursions en bateau,train ou bus proches, Le logement : ancien,murs épais donc impression de frais en rentrant,spacieux, bien équipé,décoration en céramique locale,les moustiquaires à toutes les fenêtres,la terrasse, Et bien sûr, le propriétaire adorable, toujours de bon conseil (un bacci Gerardo!) et plein de gentilles attentions à notre arrivée

Il manque un joint au niveau de la porte de la douche (il faut faire très attention aux inondations !)

L'appartement est très grand,et charmant. il est très bien situé en plein centre de Salerno. L’hôte nous a très bien accueilli : ils nous à réservé un parking pour notre séjour, et il nous fournit toutes les informations pour aller à Pompei, Amalfi-Positano, et visiter Salerno et Paestum. Salerno a été une très belle découverte pour nous, Merci Gerardo ! ...

We enjoyed our stay in this apartment. This historic and quirky property is in the perfect location, walking distance to shops, cafes. restaurants, the, port and stations. The host is very friendly and gave us lots of interesting information. Salerno is a wonderful city, we chose it as a base to visit Pompei and the amalfu coast. We were presently surprised by how much there is to see and do in Salerno itself. The city is beautiful, I'd love to return one day.

The property is beautiful , comfortable, clean and in the most perfect location . Gerardo is the perfect host providing everything on arrival from coffee and cake to information about the area. There is nothing I would change it was perfect and Salerno is a wonderful city with great restaurants , shopping , a beach and the most lovely people .

Il Normanno Home is a real gem in the centre of Salerno. The property in the Old town is steeped in history and has all the facilities to ensure a pleasant stay. The property is close to everything including the modern centre and also bus, train and ferry services. The property itself has all the facilities needed to ensure a pleasant stay including a kitchen with cooking facilities and bathroom with shower, a small living area and two nice bedrooms. The property owner Gerardo was very welcoming and provided us with rolls, pastries, coffee and milk on arrival together with a wealth of knowledge, support and guidance throughout our stay. This was invaluable to us and made a huge difference to our stay. Ww will continue to keep in touch and hopefully return soon.

We were enthusiastically greeted by Gerardo in the piazza nearby and shown to the apartment. If you dropped a pin into the geographical centre of Salerno, the apartment would be under it. Really great location. It's also about 20 metres away from a fabulous pizzeria (not the famous one you'd think it would be, but the "Portafoglio" one up the hill to the left). €5 for a classic Margherita, and if even that is too expensive for you, a folded ("portafoglio") Marinara can be had for €2.50. The apartment is cool inside - the walls must be a metre thick in places - and there are two comfortable bedrooms (a double and two singles, which is a family-friendly combination surprisingly hard to find in Italy). There's a nice little balcony to have your breakfast on (though the greenery you can see in the photos here has been removed due to building work, sadly). There's an excellent coffee machine, with a really well stocked basket of coffee pods. Enough for four people to have several coffees per day. Not like those hotels where they give you two. Overall, an ideal place to stay, in the centre of an exciting, walkable city with a lot to offer.
