Luxury Apartment on Stuart

Large clean and private apartment very close to town. All mod cons and fully equipped

Parking a little difficult, but fine on weekends

Could have done with a blind or frosting on the front door as it felt a bit exposed to the street. Street noise was a bit of an issue but it wasn’t surprising as the apartment is in the centre of town.

The apartment was luxuriously furnished and kept - plush carpet, heated bathroom floors, fully renovated but keeping heritage elements like the fireplaces and original range. The bathroom was great - heated floors, a nice shower head with great water pressure, and everything was in great condition. I loved that the mirror was the old window that had been covered on the outside and the glass was made reflective. The beds were soft and cosy, and the double-glazing meant that even though the property was on a main street, we could still sleep peacefully at night. The kitchen was fully furnished and easy to use as well.

There were only 2 small issues with the property. 1. The lock on the bathroom door doesn't work. The lock mechanism doesn't seem to be at the right position to engage with the hole in the doorframe, so it jumps and won't engage. The door will still close without the lock, but it would be great if this was addressed. 2. The front door glass is clear - not an issue on its own - which means anyone passing by can look directly into the bedroom at the end of the hallway, and see the bed. While you can just close the bedroom door for privacy, it is frustrating that anyone can just peer in at street level. This could be easily fixed by either tinting the glass so that light can still get in and you can still see through thr glass from the inside, but people outside can't see in, or by installing a small curtain or roman blind that can close and cover the door glass at night.

I loved everything about the apartment! Exceptional accommodation. The rooms and comfort enabled my Mum & I to have such a wonderful stay. The location allowed us to walk easily to access the venue we needed as well as restaurants and shops. Such a lovely central location.
