really cosy and very well equipped! Lots of space for what looks like a tiny cottage. Great shower in the upstairs bathroom. You can walk around the town and also do a walk to Hassop Station directly from the house. They provide a parking permit so you can park on the street outside. Everything worked really well.

The stairs and doors are quite creaky if you're trying to move around without waking people up (but I am a very light sleeper so I don't think anyone else noticed).

Location, lovely little cottage, all that you could want the owner had thought of and provided.

Stairs, they are narrow and fairly steep but the owner does make you aware of this.

It was an awesome stay at this historic cottage in Bakewell, fitted with all the modern amenities, right in the town centre, which offered awesome food choices. Halal food is only a 20-minute drive to Bakewell. The owners, particularly Carolyn, are not only hospitable but also kind and forthcoming. 10/10

The cottage was clean and comfortable, with everything you would need for your stay. The homemade jam and shortbread biscuits was a lovely welcoming touch. An easy walk to the cafes, pubs and shops in Bakewell village, and easy driving to enjoy the wonder Peak District

There was nothing we didn’t like about our cottage, although the steep stairs to the bedrooms were a challenge. Fortunately we had our adult son travelling with us who took our bags up to our delightful ensuite master bedroom
