Harbour View

Siamo stati due notti , un intera casa in due piani pulitissima e con tutti i confort. La vista spettacolare sul porto rende tutto meraviglioso. David ,il proprietario ,fantastico nel rispondere subito e indirizzare ogni passaggio per il check in . È stata una vacanza bellissima. Consiglio questa casa... eccellente!!!

Perfect location in town centre

Location amazing view and close to restaurants and shops. Well appointed apartment. Parking we were lucky to snag a spot on the harbour road one day, if no parks a long term carpark not far away. Try the takeaway fish and chips underneath the appartments

Perfect location to explore Isle of Skye! The flat was very nice and clean. Lovely view of the harbour. The beds were very comfortable. This was a lovely place to stay and I would highly recommend it. Very close to cafes and restaurants in Portree. Throughout the day the street below is busy as it’s on the little street with the colourful houses by the harbour and a lot of tourists come down here. This was not an issue as it got quiet after 11pm and we were out most of the day. We were able to park in the very small street outside for both nights that we stayed.

We were three guests so it would have been nice to have a hand towel each for the bathroom rather than just two. Early morning noise from the commercial street bin lids being slammed or perhaps it was from work on the building next door. This would not put me off staying again though.

As other guests have mentioned, the property is musty. Mould was in the 2nd bedroom. Apartment not modern its a 70's tired property. Moss covered stairs & patio. Misleading. Avoid. Better value else where.

That the property was to the standard it was advertised. Host invalidates the experience.

Location and view.

First impressions were not good. The steps leading to the front door of the property were dirty and covered in moss, an obvious slip hazard. The hedge to the right of the steps was overgrown and, as it had been raining, caused one's clothes to get wet when entering the property. Small patio area was dirty, leaf-strewn and looked neglected. On entry to the flat, the property smelled musty. In kitchen, there were no means by which to make a hot drink. No coffee, no sugar, not even a pint of milk left in fridge as a gesture of welcome and goodwill. I had to go to the supermarket immediately upon arrival after a long journey to Skye to pick up basics of milk sugar tea and coffee. The cleaning cloth by the sink was covered in food debris and we put it in the bin immediately and bought new ones. I've never had that experience in any property I have stayed in over the years. There were 3 of us staying for 2 nights in the property. 3 very poor quality bath towels were provided and only 2 hand towels. When I enquired of the owner if we could have any more I was met with a firm No as he was not in Scotland and his cleaners were unable to provide them. On the subject of his cleaners, the entire flat needed a more thorough clean. In the single bedroom I slept in there were crumpled used tissues and discarded sachets by the small bin in the room, evidence that it had had only the most superficial clean before our arrival. In summary, this property gives off an impression of neglect and lack of maintenance. Certainly not worth the £513 I paid for 2 nights stay. A disheartening experience in all. To crown the dismal experience, after we had left the property and were on our travels, I received a bizarre message from the owner asking me where the wi-fi information was. On entry to the property the wifi info was in a small frame hung on the wall in the sitting room. We never touched it and it was exactly where it had been when we departed the flat.
