The Lodge in the Loch

The location and number of bedrooms, beds, and bathrooms were great! We really appreciated the food, snacks, and peat that was left for us at the fireplace. It added a touch of personalization that showed the host cared. The downstairs bathtub was amazing and was very roomy. Quick to fill and drain. The views were spectacular from every room!

There were some issues with the upstairs bathroom shower leaking, but the host was very quick at fixing the problem within the same day. The only complaint was that the upstairs bathroom got very hot because of the towel heater on the wall, which we were not able to turn off. It was almost like a sauna at times, and we couldn't leave the skylight window open in there because there was no screen and the bugs would come in. Recommendations: I would suggest adding a small ladder to the dock out back so it could be easier to get in and out of the water (for when we did cold plunges) since the water was too shallow to jump into from the dock and was slippery to get into from the shore. Maybe add a screen to the upstairs bathroom skylight so the bathroom doesn't get too hot and foggy while in use, and to keep bugs out.

This was the perfect location for our visit to Isles of Skye. The views from the Lodge were spectacular The host went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The beds and pillows were exceptional.

We loved everything about this place.

I loved everything about this place—from the breathtaking location to the beautifully designed, fully equipped rooms. There’s nothing I’d change. I could have easily spent weeks here. It’s without a doubt one of the best places I’ve ever stayed, if not the best.

Beautiful property on the side of the loch with absolutely stunning views. Beautifully finished, down to the smallest detail. Lovely lodge that we would visit again.

We liked everything very much but we would maybe recommend a bigger fridge in the main kitchen and a towel rail in the downstairs toilet. Just small observations as the lodge was overall perfect.

Everything was perfect! Responsive and friendly hosts, cosy house with comfortable beds and everything you need. And amazing views! X

The perfect getaway breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and water. Layout was cosy and practical, featuring a wonderful bathtub perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring and comfortable beds to sleep in. Waking up each morning to the stunning scenery was a highlight, as was gazing at the clear night sky filled with stars.
