Bramble Cottage 1, 2 & 3

Communication beforehand was good and check in was easy. We arrived to a warm and bright property with parking just outside. The living space and kitchen were bright and roomy, as was the bedroom. The bathroom was clean and shower was good. We stayed 3 nights in number 1 and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Nothing to dislike

Location being close to the ferry port which gave you a great starting point for exploration. Decent views overlooking Lochdon and hills behind, with the skylight windows a great touch for viewing. Plenty of necessary facilities for self catering needs, with the cottage being warm and cosy, not only on arrival which was a pleasant touch but for keeping the cool spring mornings and evenings at bay (unless your wife decides not to turn the heater on when required). Great communication from the hosts prior to visiting.

Minor gripe was lack of coat hooks in hallway but that may be to prevent wet coats being left there but that's about the only complaint.

Have stayed here twice and have rebooked for our next trip. Great location, spotless and comfortable.

Very clean and well equipped cottage, heating was adequate for the cooler days. Property faced on to the Loch, so a very nice outlook. Very little traffic, so a peaceful time, and no light pollution for the occasional stargazing.

The location was perfect along with the views. Accommodation had everything that you needed.

It was cold and inconvenient having to use plug in heaters. Hairs on the bedding.

Very clean and comfortable, idyllic location opposite Loch Don. Good kitchen facilities. You can see the stars very clearly at night as there is such little light pollution.

Value for money could have been better, but given the location and seasonality of the island I can understand why it costs as much.

Property was in a good central location to travel around the island. It was clean and has everything you need. A really nice little property.

Clean and comfortable

Heating could be better. Some panel heaters not working. WI-FI password information requires updating
