Bramble Cottage 1, 2 & 3

This cottage was ideal for our stay on the Isle of Mull. It has a comfortable lounge and kitchen area, a spacious bathroom and bedroom upstairs, and kept us very snug during the torrential downpour while we were there. Duart Castle is less than 3 miles away. Tobermory is also worth a visit.

The WiFi was inaccessible during our stay due to problems with a mast on the mainland (outside the control of the host). However, this was not a major problem as mobile internet was absolutely fine.

Very comfortable, clean and well equipped cottage. Dod friendly. Very quiet.

Alles war sauber, die Dusche gut, die Betten bequem.

Kein Warm Welcome: Es war bei der angekündigten nachmittäglichen Ankunft kalt, der fake Kamin flammte, produzierte aber keine Wärme, durch einen zusätzlichen Schalter später aber schon. Auch die weiteren Heizaggregate funktionierten. Um den Küchentisch standen Klappstühle, okay. Es gab insgesamt 3 Teelöffel.

No Internet. In the kitchen the knives were blunt, there were 4 wine glasses - all different, and the kitchen scales were broken

No messing about, with keys left in a safe space.

No personal touch

The cottage is situated off the main road leaving Craignure on the way to Fionnophort. It is quite a secluded, quiet area but central enough for touring the island. The cottage was actually one building separated into three cottages. Despite this it was very quiet and peaceful. The bedroom and bathroom were reached by ascending a narrow slightly winding staircase. The bedroom looks out onto the water, and when the sun is rising or setting it is quite beautiful. We took two boat trips, one to Staffa and Fingals Cave and the second to Iona. I would recommend both as places to visit. The path to Fingals Cave, although rocky, was actually easier than I expected.

Nothing the owners can do to improve, but the television and WiFi reception was terrible.

Die Wohnung ist deutlich größer als die angegeben 20qm,sie ist vielleicht 40 bis 50qm groß insbesondere das Schlafzimmer ist sehr geräumig. Die Einrichtung ist funktional,ordentlich und sauber, das Schlafsofa im Wohnzimmer neu und bequem auch gibt es einen neuen Herd.Dass die Kühlschranktür aussen ein paar kleine Roststellen aufweist fanden wir nicht problematisch. Die Wohnung lässt sich auch mit den zur Verfügung gestellten Heizgeräten einwandfrei heizen. Auch das Grundstück ist gepflegt.

Das Badezimmer funktioniert zwar, ist aber recht eng. Unbequem sind jedoch die sehr einfachen Kunststoffstühle am Esstisch.Für mehr als zwei Personen ist die Küchenausstattung recht knapp. Bei der Lage muss man bedenken, dass sie nicht ganz ruhig ist.Das Haus liegt an der einzigen Zufahrtsstrasse zur Fähre zur Insel Iona .

La ubicación es encantadora en la naturaleza y esta muy próximo al puerto de llegada, perfecta para visitar toda la isla. En la zona se pueden ver ciervos libres.
