Ibn Batouta House

Cool little four-storey apartment ideally located in the old city. Top value for money. The rooftop terrace is amazing - lovely view. Awesome hospitality from the host. Met in a central location to show me the way and hand over the keys. He also offered suggestions for activities and places to eat. Lots of nice little touches. I really enjoyed my stay in this traditional home.

It was not a problem for me, but it's worth noting the property has lots of steep steps due to its incredible location squeezed in the old city.

Location is great-right at the edge of the old Medina with easy walking to the kasbah and medina. The host was fantastic and even cooked breakfast for us which was delicious and unexpected.

It has lots of stairs which is common we found, but the bathroom with toilet is on the top terrace requiring a steep climb up and an outside venture. Thankful it didn't rain.

The House is located in the middle of the Medina, has 2 bedrooms and a lovely rooftop. Host was ready to welcome us, asked all the time if we needed anything and even left us some sweeties/cakes.

There are many stairs, which would not be a big issue by itself. But the bathroom/toilet is located in the rooftop, in a way that it’s really not practical to use it, mainly during night time. So it you are looking for confort, this might not be the best place. Besides that, is a nice budget option for Tangier!

Yassine is the perfect host and was really helpful and courteous. The house is very cute and an amazing location to see and do everything. I would thoroughly recommend to stay here if you have a few days in the city and want to be in the middle of all the action. I will definitely return!

Perfect! This is a perfect base for a trip to Tangier, which I would really recommend. The accommodation is on three floors, plus an entrance area. This high gives you an amazing little roof terrace which is relaxing and obviously a sun trap. Beds comfortable, little kitchen area with fridge and cooking hob. Even Morocco cakes as a welcome. I feel this might be hard to beat on my continued journey through Morocco. Thank you for your hospitality.

Located in the twisting alleyways of the Medina, this apartment is well situated to help enjoy what Tangier has to offer. The view from the rooftop is incredible! It would be ideal for younger visitors that don't mind the bathroom being a flight or two of stairs away.

Being in our 50s, my wife and I have to make the odd trip to the bathroom during the night. One bathroom is down a flight of stairs from the main bedroom and has only urinal (so not an option for my wife), while the other is up two flights and across the (outdoor) rooftop terrace making it feel a bit like visiting an outhouse. The staircases are cramped and the steps are not consistent heights, which is rather jarring when you're trying to get to the bathroom while half asleep. There is a fan, but no air conditioning.
