Hop, Skip and Jump to the Lake - Te Anau House

Great location, lake over the road and town a short 5 minute walk. My husband loved the BBQ and it was nice to have a fully equipped kitchen. The house itself had a lot of character. We really enjoyed our stay.

We did miss having an inside dining table that we could all sit around together. We did use the outside setting, but it was raining and a bit cool one night so inside would have been better.

The house was beautifully renovated in keeping with the period it was built. It was tucked away off the main road and in easy walking distance to shops etc.

Cold but they do provide heaters .

The house had space to park our car. It was secluded but right by the lake and very close to all amenities. It had a heated outdoor area. The house was spacious and light. Beds were comfortable. There was also a wood fuelled stove to make for cosy evenings.

Seems small but it would have been good to have more rubbish bins inside the property. Also signage as to where the house is located could be made more prominent.

Great location. Centrally located. Walkable. Reasonably priced.

Bit dated.

It was cold this morning and will be cold in winter.
