"Convient base to explore Shropshire"

8.0

Great location, large property with good amenities. Lots of character, good for larger families

The garden space could be beautiful with a little added pots and plants.

"Mixed bag"

7.0

Location was spot on. The house was very large with everything you could possibly need. Loads of toilet rolls, clean towels and even games for the kids.

The main downsides were that it is in desperate need of a deep clean. It was dusty, had cobwebs in lots of places, paintwork was dirty in all rooms, carpets were black around the edges and need a really good clean. The mattresses need changing on all but one single bed, they were thin and not comfortable. The TVs need upgrading to smart TVs so that you can connect to Netflix etc.

"Spot on for the purpose of the visit just would have preferred the house to be a little cleaner."

6.0

Location was great and the house was exactly what we needed for the reason for the stay. Great to have private parking. And most things needed for the kitchen were available. Lovely outdoor space to make the most of the sun.

The main bed mattress was very uncomfortable. The house in general in need of some cobweb and carpet cleaning. Whilst we adhered to the ask of taking shoes off it is clear that previous guests haven't.

"A nice property close to Ironbridge"

8.0

A nice house close to Ironbridge. We liked the location, very close to where we needed to be as we were attending a ball locally. Facilities were good, 2 bathrooms and a separate downstairs loo, 4 nice bedrooms and a well appointed kitchen and lounge. Parking was fine with 2 spaces allocated.

There weren't many mirrors which made getting ready for an event a bit tricky! We also would have liked to go into the yard from the house but the door was locked. The only other thing that was frustrating was the thin curtains meant being woken early by sunlight!

"A great location for a family get-together. Property in need of some TLC."

6.0

This place is well positioned for all of the amenities in Ironbridge. The property has 2 allocated parking spaces in the adjacent courtyard . There is also a pay and display carpark directly opposite, operated by 'MIPERMIT'. Parking is chargeable between 10am and 5 pm, £6 per day, at time of writing. There is also a CO-OP across the road, and pubs/restaurants a short walk away. The living spaces are generously proportioned, and the beds were comfortable, if a bit soft - our party used all of the available beds during our stay and there were no complaints. The garden was a generous space with a small BBQ and nice table and chairs.

As there is no separate dining area, the kitchen suffers from the placement of a rather large 8-seater table in the middle of it. This leaves little space to navigate around the kitchen, particularly in the morning when most of the house occupants were trying to make drinks, and cater for their individual breakfasts. Perhaps an extendable table would suit better. Although the kitchen had ample pots and pans, we noted that crockery was a little minimalist, and consisted of several different sets with only 8 of each, so no spare to use as serving plates/bowls etc. The bendy utility cutlery was also a shame. Our overall impressions; we all felt that the decor was a little tired-looking. The fabric 'chesterfield' style sofa was rather stained, and could have done with a shampoo. Many of the carpets were stained and the stair carpet was threadbare in places. The main bathroom badly needed repainting due to the shower leaking over the bath consistently - the fixed shower screen didn't seem long enough to prevent leakage no matter how carefully you took a shower, and there were cobwebs and very dusty skirting boards - an easy fix.
