Excellent location within walking distance to the harbour and even manageable by my elderly parents Comfortable beds Great pressure in shower

although a lovely place it feels a little tired, plates were cracked, only 2 wine glasses, dining chairs were split and dirty, lights within downstairs toilet didnt work, clothes airer was broken

The inn has a good, central location. Excellent communication with the owner. My parents decided to join us for the week as there was space so we needed extra bedding which wasn’t an issue.

The chairs around the dining table were that awful (ripped and stained) that we didn’t use them all week. The mats on the table were also grotty and not wipeable. The smell of damp was quite strong downstairs. The sash windows are not very secure. In the upstairs bathroom, the mat in the shower was full of black mould so we just removed it. Though there is space for families, the kitchen wasn’t equipped with items needed for young children. We bought some plastic bowls and plates and left them there, but some cutlery would also be a good idea and crockery that wouldn’t smash. On the night we got there, there were false eyelashes stuck underneath the top bunk bed which was slightly alarming to my nine year old. This is of little reflection on the property but the refuse collection system was appalling and there was a fair bit of litter in the street.

Great location, easy and very short walk to the harbour. The house was lovely, well equipped, great size, fab coffee machine and helpful host.

Everything was as we expected and the accommodation was nicely decorated and very tasteful. We all enjoyed our stay very much.

It was a bit hilly but Torquay is like that.
