Excellent location, in pedestrian zone. Close to tourist attractions. A clean and very equipped suite.

No parking available near by, the nearest garage is around 1 km away. A lack of daylight due to small distance from the surrounding buildings.

The manager is a bit strange in the way she talks, I thought she was very rude and I also forgot some things in the apartment, my makeup and she didn't let me go and get the apartment, it was very expensive so it wouldn't be been tidy, it was very old and the bed linen was not clean, the blanket I slept on 😞

Close to city center

Private parking was advertised and was not available. In the area it's impossible to find parking. Also I don't appreciate the host writing "you can't call me"

The flat is elegant and clean, the front bedroom is spacious, the nearby area has lots of amenities. It's not too far of a walk from the centre of Trieste.

I'm not in the habit of writing negative reviews, but we've stayed in lots of places and we've not had as rude a reception as we did here, and the flat was not as described: we booked this flat because we were two couples and wanted a place which had two bathrooms, which the listing stated it had. All this meant in practice was that there was a separate toilet and bathroom. The listing should be updated to reflect this. From our initial communications the host was snippy which should have been a warning sign (snapping 'I already told you that' in response to a question, which she seemed to think I'd asked twice). When she was showing us the flat we asked about the air-conditioning (which was listed in the description) and she immediately snapped angrily at us about why would we want to use the air-conditioning, it's too cool for that, just open the window, air-con is bad for the planet (although the green credentials she pleaded didn't extend to the kitchen where there was a capsule coffee machine, which is very ungreen, only to the climate controls which cost money), which was all an overreaction to the simple question of where it was in case it would be useful during our stay. Mostly she just angrily told us not to touch things and didn't explain how to use anything, and generally made us feel unwelcome. As it turned out, the flat is just around the corner from an extremely popular bar that spills out onto the street until late in the night, and the steps below were a popular spot for young people smoking joints. So the air-con would have been nice for keeping the air inside cool and fresh because opening the windows at night meant the rooms filled with noise and smoke. There are a lot of steps which was difficult for the elderly people with us. Most of the faults would have been things we could overlook.

The location was great.It was a peaceful neighborhood.The city center was very near and the Cafe San Marco also.

The hot water didn't work in the shower.

Location is very handy as we could walk anywhere (into various areas of the town, to the bus stops, to the train station) - we are good walkers and love to walk. Clean. Quiet at night. At a late notice, we asked via booking.com messages if we could leave our suitcase early, The owner tried to help, but the booking.com messages were too slow and we had made other plans by the time we received the answer (sent by the owner well over an hour before we actually got it).

Check-in instructions - because we had given the arrival time in the booking and the booking said someone would give us the key, we assumed someone would be waiting for us. However, it was not the situation, we had to contact the owner to come and give us the key. It was not a big deal and not a long wait, but it gives us a bit of unnecessary stress as our phones were running out of battery and we were doubtful about the booking.com messages service. Check out - the booking said we could check out up to 11:30am. As a result, we planned to leave between 11am and 11:30am. When 2 Italian ladies knocked on the door at 10:30am saying 'checkout', it didn't even cross our minds they were cleaning ladies - we actually thought they were renting the other apartment and wanted to checkout. After a few minutes of confusion, and phone translations, they asked for our checkout time and said they would come back later. They were very nice about the situation, but it felt it could have been easily avoided.

It was very near to the Politeama Rossetti theatre so it was easy access to watch shows. Also situated along a nice pedestrian only boulevard lined with restaurants, shops, and cafes so it was a nice walk to the city centre.

As with all old buildings, there was no elevator, just a flight of stairs up to the second floor. Luckily it was manageable with a small suitcase.
