Location was excellent

The code sent to unlock the gates to the cottage was wrong we had to ring the owner who came out to the property

Cottage itself was fine and location excellent . The Star pub was really nice with good food but you do need to book a table .

Two major issues : opening the iron gates to gain entry to the courtyard was a nightmare ( other people told me the same ) . This needs addressing as soon as possible . The newly cut key for the gate opening for No 8 cottage did not work ~ I phoned Allison several times to ask for a replacement but she did not answer the phone nor reply to my messages . She was useless . Future people who book No8 need to know about these problems . We would not recommend or return to the cottage .

Location was perfect close to everything. Parking just outside. House was lovely with everything you need. Bed very comfortable. Within 2 minutes walk to pubs and station.

Fantastic location in Watchet

Very nice cottage, in a secure location in the middle of Watchet. Comfy beds, excellent bathroom with bath. A good folder with lots of info in it about the cottage and local area with leaflets about local attractions.

It was a bit of mission to find out the key code for the key safe. The host just kept sending the same email which had reams and reams of irrelevant information which was repeated anyway in the cottage folder. It turned out the key codes were buried at the very bottom of this very long email. It would have been good if the host had simply told me where to find the codes rather than keep sending the same email. The other issue was that the front door lock was very difficult to unlock and lock, it took much juggling and trying to turn it every time in order to actually get into the cottage. The key worked perfectly on the inside. Hence a score of 7/10.

Peace and quiet - close location to and easy access to places we wished to visit. Very comfortable location

My only slight adverse comment was the weight of the duvet! My daughter (60 and I, 85) came for two nights on our way to grand daughters graduation at Exeter Uni. We were fortunate enough to have 3 days of real summer and I found it very hot. Most unusual for summer 2024!

Location was spot on, close to restaurant (recommended the star inn local pub) and the car park

Some of the customer service needed working on, a good base to travel to other villages and Minehead near by
