Lovely location, quite secluded so be careful on the approach as driving can be a bit tricky on small roads. Really quiet and peaceful, excellent views and relaxed, rural vibe. The host was absolutely lovely, friendly and helpful with lots of great local tips for food, walks and places to explore. Excellent spot for a getaway, pool was lovely and there was a great deck for chilling outside and bbqs. We would definitely go back!

It is quite out of the way so plan ahead to bring food, milk, snacks etc. We arrived quite late but didn't have dinner before so didn't have much options by way of food for the evening but that was our mistake. There is also basically no WiFi (slow as it's rural) and not much data on phones. But this was a nice digital break as well so no real complaints!

Lovely little holiday home with a beautiful view- very cosy, homely and a great base to explore the local areas.

The surrounding where stunning, so quiet and all i could hear was the birds singing it was perfect

There where no negative points here

Host John was amazing, friendly and a wonderfully welcoming gent. He gave us a tour of the property and spoke about the history and lore of the area. He provided a detailed booklet including instructions of how to light the log burners and advised that he will be around to show us how to do so or do so for us if he is available which we found a wonderful touch. The Stable (the cottage we stayed at) is located in a picturesque location filled with loads of fields and within visible distance are some adorable sheep. The cottage is filled with mementos of John's travels and they made for fantastic talking points and decor. Within the booklet were some recommendations for walks, food places, where supermarkets are located and any other information you could possibly need for your stay. All in all, we loved it and we would like to go back.

No major qualms, although the toilet is right next to some cold tiles so be prepared for a chill 😂
