The Cottage Aberlour

It was a cosy place with very friendly hosts.

One challenge we faced was carrying our heavy luggage up the stairs to the room on level 2. Water pressure at the toilet upstairs may be low some times.

The cottage is great, well-equipped and in a very convenient location, close enough to Aberlour to walk (and there's a walkway along the main road). The living room makes for a lovely place to chill at the end of a day exploring the area. And Michelle was a very good, responsive and at the same time discreet host.

Cottage was lovely and had everything we needed.

Road noise was loud at times but that can’t be helped.

Cosy little cottage in a stunning location within easy walking distance of the closest village.

Lovely greeting from Michelle and Jody on arrival and leaving. Cottage was very clean and deceptively spacious. Although it was chilly outside the property warmed up very quickly and we were actually too warm on the second night. We have stayed at some places previously which have never heated up so this was a massive bonus. Ample storage options and having two bathrooms was a big convenience for getting ready. Only a short walk into Aberlour and parking right next to the back door was perfect for unloading our bags. Michelle was very response and helpful on WhatsApp.

Hot water did not work on the first morning, however this was due to an electrical fault which tripped a switch. Michelle quickly fixed this within minutes of us sending her a whatsapp. I didn't like having to leave! We could have easily stayed another couple of nights.

The location is great, very central to distilleries, restaurants and tourist spots in Speyside. Heating is amazing so no issues in cold weather. Our host was friendly, helpful and responsive. Would return without a doubt.
