Pannanich View Cottage, Ballater

Great location close to the town centre. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. Quiet location. Everything you could need on a short break. Would stay again.

Minor but would have been good to take our dog.

The location in the centre of Ballater and being able to have our breakfast on the bench enjoying the morning sun.

It really is such a small thing - a cafetière or something to make coffee in would have been great.

Beautiful clean cottage, was booked as a gift. Lovely location with lots of sightseeing to do. Great fireplace too.

Only comment would be the bed wasn't comfortable but that's all.

It's a lovely little cottage in a fantastic location. The view from the yard is therapeutic, and the supermarket and the bus stop are just around the corner. Everything was professionally cleaned and it's fitted with modern facilities. We also enjoyed the log burner a lot!

There's no mobile phone reception in the living room. It's not a big issue but some sort of internet connection could have made this experience even better!

It was central to the village with a lovely view, great cafe in the village called The Bothy

It was very cold inside (minus 7 outside when we arrived), only small portable convector heaters inside with a wood burning fire in the living area. No blind in the bathroom so no privacy when the light is on and all the heat lost (only place with a proper heater, we taped a sheet of newspaper to the window which helped with both issues) Only 3 logs provided and then you have to buy everything yourself to use the wood burner, not forewarned of this. It was very hard to find the keysafe as the photo doesn’t show how to find it or the property from the roadside, some sign would help. Parking is not outside the entrance to the property as the road is very narrow here, but parking is available nearby (we didn’t visit in peak season so could be difficult then. Hot water pressure very low Rug in lounge slips when you tread on it Power tripped when using the socket below the tv so found an extension lead and plugged it in elsewhere Hob kept turning off when using it so just used the microwave and ate out WiFi would be a good idea as phone signal very hit and miss

Fabulous location, clean, well designed & thoughtfully equipped accommodation. Bed very comfy! Wood burning stove made it extra cosy.

Hot water in kitchen & bathroom sinks not great - we had to boil kettle to have water hot enough to wash dishes (shower was fine though). No wi-fi.
