Pannanich View Cottage, Ballater

Great location within the town of Ballater and easy walking distance to all the amenities, shops, restaurants, bars etc. Nice and quiet too. Great Indian Restaurant just around the corner and a Lovely Cafe called Bothy of Ballater that do great breakfasts. The bathroom had a wall heater and was nicely fitted out, just a shame there was no blind.

Very cold property when we arrived and it took a while to get the lounge up to temperature with the log burner. we don't have one so we weren't used to it but once it was going we used a lot of logs to keep the house warm. It was a nightmare trying to light it in the morning but luckily the weather improved so we didn't have it on for the last 2 days of the break. There is no central heating or any fixed heater in the bedroom but luckily we found a heater withing the shed when I checked the shed for anymore logs on the first day. The bed requires a new mattress because it sinks in the middle and felt very worn and unsupportive. There is no blind on the bathroom window personally we prefer one.

Breakfast was not provided. The location was excellent and the wood heater worked a treat. Lots to see and do around the area, including a visit to Balmoral Castle grounds.

I took a photo from the bedroom window. It was a lovely cottage. Very clean and equipped well. Comfortable bed and loved the log fire. Will come back again if we come back to this area. It was great. Thank you.
