Amazing cottage and gardens

This is our second visit, and we loved the first time so much, we had to come back. A lovely cottage with all you need and a good location as a chill-out base. Fantastic for the dogs, having a secure garden and a large field to walk and run about. The owners are lovely, being available if you need them and leaving you to enjoy your stay, they are very welcoming.

Quality of fixtues, cleanliness overall, garden, parking & extra bonus the enclosed field at back of property for our dogs to explore & chase rabbits 🐇 35 mins from Kelso 25 mins from Hawick. On our next trip to Border union dog show, hope to booking extended trip again. Thankyou Ros

Everything was top notch - the property was lovely, beautifully appointed and the host made us feel very welcome. We had a dog with us, and there was wonderful exercise space for her.

Only one comment - could have done with an ice-cream scoop. Thankfully, the spoon we used in its absence didn't bend!

We had fantastic family holiday. The hosts are such a nice and helpful people. They made us feel like at home. The location of the cottage was perfect, away from civilisation but close enough to many top attractions such as Kielder Water, Edinburgh,Melrose. The cottage itself was very clean,spacious enough for family of 4, kitchen well equipped and 2 bathrooms😊. There was a great collection of books, dvds, boardgames and leaflets. And the field with 2 trampolines was amazing too. We would definitely like to comeback to this place whenever we pay the visit to The Borders

This is our third stay at The Steadings and we love it. It feels like home away from home. As soon as we walk through the door, we switch off and fully relax.
