Chiddy Nook Cottage

The location was beautiful, the village is very pretty. We went to Seatown Beach, which is only a 20 minute walk, and up to Golden Cap, which is a bit further with great views. The cottage itself is well appointed and comfortable.

The garden is a bit overlooked and adjoins another garden. This was only a problem for us with our very nosy dog, which meant I had to put her on a lead whenever I let her out. If it had just been me and my partner it wouldn’t have been an issue at all.

Beautiful location and cottage. Jane, our host made our cottage very festive and welcoming! Cottage was warm and had everything we needed.

After exiting the property it was not always very easy to get onto the main road as very busy .

The location was perfect for what we wanted. We ended up staying at the Burrow (whilst some repair work was carried out at Chiddy Nook) but our hosts could not have been more helpful and gave us plenty of notice and options. Parking was easy and the cottage was immaculate, with welcome biscuits, tea, coffee and milk. The heating was perfect for the time of year and when there was an problem with a trip switch, help was at hand immediately. We had only booked two nights, but we would have liked to have stayed longer.

Slight traffic noise but unavoidable due to location, which we knew before we booked.

The location was super tranquil and relaxed, 10 minute drive to a supermarket, very cosy and homely, beautiful classic interior, lots of parking available. The hosts had even decorated for Christmas and left us presents under the tree which was unexpected but a lovely surprise!

My only small complaint was the heating could be more powerful. The heating worked but I think with an old building the heat is lost pretty quickly. But they have blankets which is nice.

Lovely location, can walk down to Seatown beach with the Anchor pub. The cottage was lovely
