The Barn at Pink Cottage

The location was great - an easy drive to all places of interest. The hosts were lovely - on site and very friendly and always willing to assist if necessary. Small but cosy living space with comfortable sofa’s etc and supurb tv! Small kitchen but perfectly adequate. Some dexterity needed to mount stairs to sleeping area to get into bed below rafters but we are over 70 and had no problems. Small sitting area outside which was lovely for coffee and breakfast as well. Worth a 10.

What a lovely little place with a great atmosphere and energy. It oozes charm. Perfect for a couples' get away. Situated just 40 mins from Belfast, you wouldn't think it, this little cottage is surrounded by trees. The sounds of birdsong coming in the skylights in the morning was just wonderful. We had great weather and the sun shone in the windows lighting the place up. We felt like we could have been anywhere. The owners live in the main house just accross the driveway. The were very friendly and welcoming but very much gave us our privacy. We slept like logs. Everything we needed was there and place was so comfortable. Would be a nice wee place in winter too with the wood burner going. Recommendations: Castle Ward National Trust and Delamont Forrest Park were great for gorgeous walks. Eating out: we loved Daft Eddie's in Kilileagh. Great food and lovely outside dining. The Lobster Pot in Strangford was also delicious if seafood is your thing. Would highly recommend this place to others looking a little romantic break.

Good location. Host friendly and helpful. Great shower.

The sleeping arrangements are a bit tricky as the ceiling is very low and difficult to manoeuvre around bed. It was manageable but not ideal if you have a back problem as I do. It is mentioned when booked.

Nicola was a fantastic host .Beautiful clean well equipped cottage.
