Fresh in Franklin

Clean, had everything we needed. Well equipped. Great location

Needed another armchair. Screenporch not the best, big cobwebs on planter in corner !

The house was ample size and had a nice homey feel. The neighborhood was quiet. There was an adequate amount of towels and soap in the bathrooms (although we didn't find them for the one bath for a couple of days (expecting them to be visible in the shower as in the master bath) and everything was neat and clean. We enjoyed taking our granddaughter for walks as the neighbors were friendly and the little park with swings, etc. was a short walk from the house. We appreciated the salt, pepper, and sugar in the cupboard because it's hard to think of everything when we're staying for a week, flying in, and trying to keep things simple. Good frig. We did use the grill (good) but it needed cleaning first. The back screened-in porch was really nice. The host was quick to respond to our inquiries.

There were several things that come to mind that were a little off-putting. There was a washer and dryer included and the pictures showed soaps for that. There wasn't enough there to do even one load and when I asked about that was told to go to the Dollar Tree and buy some. (Didn't really want to provide that or go find it). I asked if the hot tub was functioning and the answer was no but we could fill it ourselves, then drain and clean. I don't think so. I checked back on the reviews and this wasn't the first time for that suggestion. I found that the number of dishes and silverware was pretty sparse so that we never used the dishwasher once because we always needed dishes for the next meal and ended up washing everything by hand. We didn't see any plug for the tub to hold water for a child's bath. The curtain in the master bedroom that served as a door for the bathroom needed to be replaced as it was stained. Sometimes it's just the little things that are so simple to fix that can help in giving a better impression at first. None of this is earth shattering and we really enjoyed our stay here and would book again if the opportunity ever comes up again.

The house was very clean and cozy. There was a screened-in back patio with a hot tub, even though we didn't have a chance to use it. The neighborhood was nice, quiet, and conveniently located to downtown Franklin.

I was well pleased, nothing I didn't like.

The location was great and overall very nice. Would recommend.

We didn't have soap, ( except liquid hand soap) in the main shower and ran low on toilet paper but did not find the extra supplies until the last day, which were in the garage. It would be good to have a general notice of those sorts of things posted somewhere in the house - I realize we could have called or messaged the host but didn't want to bother that person. The main bedroom mattress was firm and comfortable but the second queen mattress (according to one guest) needed replacement. Still a nice vacation rental.
