Kingfisher Lodge

Just returned from a wonderful stay at Kingfisher Lodge. Found it a little tricky to find at first, but just drive down to the stables and its on your left! Met by host on arrival and given a brief overview of the accomodation. I really appreciated how spacious, clean and comfortable the lodge was with modern touches, including the underfloor heating. The kitchen was well equipped, and the bathroom had fluffy towels and a good shower. The medium‑firm bed was comfortable and there is an additional wall mounted TV for lazy mornings if it's raining! The small private garden was a lovely bonus, and having the horses wander over to the fence felt very calming. Fantastic views in all directions and at night you could hear the geese and owls. The Lodge is genuinely dog friendly with the expected restrictions of no dogs on the furniture/bed, my greyhound had ample room to potter around The whole place was quiet and peaceful, fabulous for recharging. As a solo traveller, I felt safe and settled throughout. The location was ideal for visiting Bakewell, Chatsworth, and the surrounding area. I’d happily recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a comfortable and peaceful stay.

Having to come home!

We had such a warm welcome from the owner, which started our stay off perfectly. The property is dog-friendly and features a lovely private garden, with a designated parking spot. It is worth noting that dogs aren’t allowed on the sofa or in the bedroom; this wasn't an issue for us at all, but it's something to keep in mind when booking. Super comfy bed too. Would definitely stay here again!

We have stayed at this property before and it’s standard of accommodation is as good as the first time.

Warm welcome from Katy and her daughter. Very peaceful lodge, beautifully kept, very cosy. Stunning views. Perfect location for walks to Froggat Edge, White Edge and Baslow Edges and exploring the wider park district. Thanks so much for a lovely stay.

Amazing Lodge. A little home away from home. Everything you could ask for and more, amazing views, wonderful hosts. So peaceful, some amazing walks and wonderful recommendations from hosts. This is going to be one of our go to places every year from now on 😊

It was clean and tidy, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was positioned perfectly with many walks nearby. It was a converted stable and my partner loved being so close to the horses.

Nothing at all. If I was being really picky maybe a newer TV, but it’s not like we watched it anyway.
