Dallow Hall Barns

Barn conversion was very homely. Good communication before and during our stay. Setting is so peaceful and quiet. Lovely seating area at back of barn. Good tv and nice selection of channels. Alexander a useful amenity. Ripon, Fountains Abbey, Ampleforth Abbey, York and Thirsk were handy trips out and close at hand. Pubs close but we enjoyed nights in rather than travelling. Welcome pack nice touch. We said we wouldn't want to leave when we arrived and we were right.

Shower a bit fragile but instant visit from owner to sort it. No physical folder of information. Online wasn't as comprehensive. Nice to have info in writing.

Peace and quiet

The property is in a beautiful, quiet location. The host Jamie, has lovingly converted the barn into two separate apartments. Where he has kept original features like the stonework in the bedroom. The bed is large & super comfortable.

Only slight downside was when you’re led in bed & the upstairs neighbours flushed the toilet, it sounded like a bucket of water was being poured over your head!

Great location. Quiet and close to where we wanted to be, on the edge of the dales. The sheep were a nice bonus.

Hide away location, cosy home feel, not far from the centre of Ripon, nice country road drive into town. A great starting location to get to local walks and more :) They had a dog. Helped with a change of tyre. (Muchas Gracias) Accommodating via whatsapp to any issues/questions. 👍

Like a rollercoaster, you must not exceed a certain height, for me at 6f1 it was comfortable but if you are 6"4 this may be not so desirable. If I was to pick something for someone else. Nothing to complain about at all, I enjoyed spending time there :)

Excellent facilities in a very quiet , almost hideaway country location at the end of a private road . Owner host very friendly , basic food essentials including fresh bread provided. All just a few miles from the North Yorks national park

Rather ify mobile phone reception due to location in valley . Was quite difficult to find , but owner gave excellent directions .

Clean, tidy, spacious, the most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in, the warmth of the underfloor heating-the list goes on. A warm welcome from our host upon arrival. A great app that you get forwarded to your phone with all the info about the property & surrounding areas you could possibly need.
