Lavender Cottage

Location - very close to our event. Had a minor problem which was sorted very very quickly. Comfy bed, great shower, loads of hot water.

Smell of damp in downstairs toilet. Knives need sharpening. Hob is very old and difficult to work out as all the numbers are rubbed off.

Lavender Cottage was very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. Jaime was so kind and helpful. She carried our luggage, tuned the tv for us & checked that everything was ok. When the radiator leaked all over the floor, she raced round, got a fellow to drain the system, mopped it all up and gave us an oil filled radiator. She's a star.

We would have liked bigger cereal bowls - the ones provided were tiny! Also, a minor point, the tv in my bedroom didn't work

Lovely peaceful location, conveniently located

Didn’t feel particularly welcoming - e.g. no visitor information about the house/area.

We had a problem because the heating didn't work on our first morning and it was quite cold. I sent an email for help and there was a fairly quick response and the problem was sorted. An observation......... Fortunately we didn't need it but the first aid box was on top of the kitchen cupboard and impossible to reach, It would be far more accessible if it was in one of the kitchen cupboards.

Liked the environment and the grounds of the Manor House, very spacious and comfortable lounge nice to have a dishwasher. Although no private garden we liked the courtyard.

Would have liked a safety hand rail to help get into the bath, although this isn’t really a “don’t like”there aren’t any shops in the village and the local pub doesn’t open on a Monday or Tuesdays
