The garden is breathtaking and the cottage was comfortable and had all the basic things you need!

Everything. The home is beautiful and had everything we needed. The location was perfect. The large rambling garden was beautiful too. Everything was just perfect. Only wish our stay was longer

The location was really nice. It was quiet and surrounded by trees and flowering bushes and lots of birds. The beds were comfortable and there were electric blankets to keep us warm. The shower water was hot and worked well. Just basic catering equipment. We had to use most of our own. Tea and coffee sachets were provided. Despite what we didn’t like about the property (see below) we still enjoyed our stay.

Some of the internal fixtures needed some work, like the grouting around the basin and the bottom of the shower door was a tad grubby. No outside seating and the area around the braai was a little neglected. The grass was long and wet when we wanted to braai, so used our own nearer to our room. Could do with two or more chairs in the room as it ostensively sleeps three people. There was only one available.

As per advert, was expecting a self catering unit with the necessary facilities, not just an ensuite bedroom with a microwave and small table top bar fridge. Poor braai facilities. Misleading advertising.

We had a wonderful stay at Liquid Amber in Hogsback. The location is perfect – right across from the main attractions, making it very convenient to explore the area. The accommodation offers excellent value for money, and everything was comfortable and well-kept. A special mention must go to the lady who checked us in – she was incredibly helpful, warm, and welcoming, making us feel at home from the very beginning. She is truly an asset to the place and a great ambassador for the venue. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be staying at Liquid Amber again on our next visit to Hogsback. Highly recommended!
